Support Group For Children and Adults With
Disabilities
"I am on the Board of Directors for the
Hopewell Prince George Civitan which is dedicated to serving
individual and community needs with an emphasis on helping
people with developmental disabilities. As an extension of
my personal interest in helping to advocate for people with
disabilities I coordinated and founded a support group
called
Virginia Voices in Action.
We needed a website which would be a
source of pride and inspiration for our support group. We
needed a web site which would keep our membership updated on
events and meetings and also encourage new membership.
Woolie Webs, and especially Sylvia
Woolwine, took the time to listen to our needs as an
all-volunteer group who advocate for children with
disabilities, and created a web design that helps promote
our cause. Sylvia designed all of our graphics and even our
T-shirt logos which we use at special events such as The
Arc March which took place in the Virginia State Capitol
in the fall of 2003.
Our support group meets once a month and
has guest speakers at most meetings. Ms. Woolwine promptly
and accurately updates these monthly meetings notices which
are invaluable in keeping our membership up to date. She
even adds little seasonal images to our site's web design
without prompting and replaces them after a holiday is past.
Having a web site for

built by a professional has helped our support group network
and work toward our goals to help children and adults with
disabilities and the people who care for them."
